Work in software, systems engineering and product test labs to analyze, debug and integrate software with system hardware. Work primarily with LabView, LabWindows, TestStand, toolsets in Windows environment. Knowledge of RTCA/DO-178B safety critical standards. Software development includes C/C++. Work with analog RF electronics. Work with Motorola PowerPC, TCP/IP, PCI, VME, 1553 device drivers, FLASH, Ethernet, serial I/O, internal/external timers, firewire, SCSI, UART, EEPROM, FPGAs and graphics hardware. Adhere to Owegos software development process, DO-178B, and other industry standards. Perform software verification to DO-178B standards. Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills required. Ability to work in a team environment. Standard Job Description Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel. Security Clearance Secret Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
