The Senior Product Director will be responsible for the marketing management of Cordis products. Work with Market Research to design and implement a market research plan to determine the VOC that drives product development and specific design targets while managing trade-offs. Work with Global Marketing partners and key US commercial partners, such as Business Analytics and Finance, to develop the financial goals of the project as prepared in the Capital Appropriations Request. This includes global forecasts, adoption rates and a comprehensive pricing strategy. Work with R&D and the regulatory department to develop a clinical and regulatory strategy to ensure appropriate approvals and claims to sell in target markets. Work with Education Department team to create product education presentation materials for customer and associate education. Conduct presentations for key customer visits as necessary. Provide international affiliates with product concept understanding to support affiliate communication and customer input. Provide decisive leadership in all areas of the marketing mix. Will develop business plans through marketing strategies, goals, and tactics. Will work closely with field sales organization and customers, New Product Development and Regulatory to effectively navigate the internal environment and achieve results. Identify product life cycle needs and launch new products and indications. Responsible for maximizing consumer and/or physician acceptance, market penetration, and often the profitability of a particular major product or brand, or small group of related products or product lines. Coordinates the work of specialists (in-house and external) in such activities as product and other promotion devices, sales training, and often costing and pricing. May have Associate Product Directors covering one or more of these specialties with respect to the particular products within the scope of responsibility. Develops and executes comprehensive brand strategy and marketing plans(s). Forecasts customer demand and participates in review of sales and demand forecasts for assigned product line or across product lines. Provides leadership, support and expertise to the sales organization and distribution channels for the product line or across product lines. Qualifications Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred. A minimum of 6 years related marketing experience required. A minimum of 3 years commercial business experience required. Marketing, or new business development experience that includes understanding & translating customer needs required. Knowledge of Structural Heart (Valves) disease state preferred. Medical Imaging experience preferred. Front-end marketing experience preferred. Ability to translate market assumptions into marketing models preferred. Project management or engineering experience preferred. Marketing Medical Device products experience preferred. Experience within the interventional marketplace preferred. Up to 40% domestic and/or international travel required.
