Apply to this position Description Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnsons Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Labeling Operator, located in Raritan, NJ. Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. provides in vitro diagnostic products to hospital, commercial and clinical laboratories, and blood donor centers. Its products include reagents and instrument systems used in blood typing and donor testing; clinical chemistry determinations and immunoassays for disease diagnosis and therapy management; as well as RhoGAM, an injectable drug used to prevent hemolytic disease of the newborn. The Labeling Operator will be responsible for pulling filled vials from cold-boxes and using labeling equipment to make sure that all vials are appropriately labeled. This person will also inspect vials to ensure everything is in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition, this individual will need to keep track of formal manufacturing This person will work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities. The Labeling Operator will be accountable for maintaining equipment in proper working order, as well as keeping track of individual training records. This individual will clean and sterilize equipment, follow safety procedures and practices, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. This person will be responsible for communicating problems to their Team Leader, Technician or Engineer. The Labeling Operator will dispose of hazardous materials appropriately, interact with computer controlled equipment and processes, and conduct a basic quality inspection of work in accordance with statistical process, or other control procedures. Qualifications Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, and a minimum 1-year of related experience or training within GMP. At least one-year working experience in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and/or Consumer Product manufacturing is an asset. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is desired. Experience with software such as I-Fix is a plus. Six Sigma training, and/or certification is an asset. A minimum of 1-year experience with manufacturing SOP’s is required. Must be willing and able to work a first shift position for the first 3 to 4 months (7:00AM - 3:30PM) and change over to a second shift position (3:00PM - 11:30PM) from then on. Must be willing and able to work over-time when needed. The ability to work in Raritan, NJ is required.
