Oversee the resource (headcount and budget), milestone and financial planning for all pro-ject activities related to Development including internal costs (excludes internal costs such salaries, hiring and travel). 2. Assume accountability for project level budget, resource forecasts and milestone planning accuracy. 3. Identify and implement cost, productivity and process improvements 4. Provide project feasibility assessments and resource latest estimates at quarterly International Project Team operational review meetings. 5. Track project internal costs against budget. 6. Optimize project timelines based on trial dependencies and resource availability. Identify planning issues and propose risk mitigation plans. 7. Support Clinical Program Leader in the development of the projects milestone planning, resource needs and its approval by Oncology Development Leadership. 8. Develop trial resource forecasts and secure approvals. Liaise with other global line functions to assist clinical teams with securing sufficient resources. Conduct and lead planning resource reviews at Internal Clinical Team (ICT) meetings. 9. Ensure clinical trial planning and budgeting systems (ClinAdmin/OPX2) are accurate regarding timelines, financial forecasts, expenditures, and internal resource planning. 10. Active member of ICT. Participate in OGD Operations meetings, identify issues and propose action plans. 11. Provide clinical trial process and budget training to clinical staff. 12. Provide input to the development of process standards/tools and performance metrics to achieve excellence in clinical operations and management. Drive implementation to achieve results faster, economically and more effectively in cooperation with key stakeholders. 13. Develop best practices for allocating and managing resources. May participate in or lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives. 14. Accountable for talent and career development of direct reports, including performance management. Contribute to the talent and career development of clinical operations staff through active participation in on-boarding, training and mentoring activities. 15. Faculty member for OGD training programs Minimum requirements Bachelor degree or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare is required. MBA preferred . Minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical drug development experience in an international and multi-disciplinary environment. . Demonstrated success in resource (budget and headcount) planning and management in a complex global development organization. . Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives. . Knowledge of clinical development process, regulatory requirements and GCP. . Experience in working with clinical data management systems, project management systems and reporting tools. . Organizational awareness, including experience working cross-functionally and in global teams. . Excellent teamwork skills. . General knowledge of clinical science. . Must have demonstrated strong facilitation and leadership skills in aligning and managing globally dispersed teams and stakeholder groups. . Very good analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills. . Strong interpersonal and communication skills for bridging between scientific and business participants, for negotiating timelines and for effective international collaboration.
