Description: Position Description This business development / marketing position provides critical capture leadership and direction for Land Forces Sensor Systems. This position will support a varied and changeable mix of soldier-focused systems, such as helicopter Fire Control Radar (FCR) systems, Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) carried systems (US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force) and Special Operations mission equipment package (MEP) integration. Responsibilites include interface with U.S. Army (Future Combat System, PEO Aviation, CECOM, I2WD, ARL,) U.S. Navy (NAVAIR, MARCORPSYSCOM), US Air Force (AFRL, UAV), and USSOCOM programs and operational customers as well as identifying and pursuing international opportunities. This position must identify new opportunities, conduct competitive intelligence and analysis, suggest industrial teaming relationships, lead win/capture pursuits, and support annual operation planning and acqusitions. Essential Skills: - Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) are required; key responsibilities include articulating strategy and direction to senior management, articulating key customer requirements and needs to project teams, and communicating effectively skills and product capabilities to the customer - Knowledge of the U.S. Army and/or USMC communities and/or conops is essential to focus general and specific capture and technology investment strategies for the division. - Strong leadership and organizational skills are needed to influence others while building and maintaining relationships (internally and externally) critcial to technology development and program capture. - Must be self-directing as this position will have wide lattitude to identify and pursue opportunities within the given technology genre - Knowledge of export licensing and ITAR policy is essential to protect the company and manage proper expectations for international customers Minimum Education: Bachelors in a technical discipline, business, or marketing. Minimum Years Experience: Ten years in either the military or defense industry, or a combination thereof. Minimum clearance level: have or be capable of obtaining Secret. Preferred Skills: - Hands-on (operational / user) experience in the military for a period of time is highly prefered. - Indepth knowledge of competing companies and their systems - Knowledge of complimentary or services products and associated companies applicable to our sensors - Experience in strategic planning and actions leading to the identification of domestic / international opportunities, identification and analysis of competitive intelligence and the development of pursuit strategies and tactics is vital to advising and briefing business unit directors and VPs on customer acquisition strategies and long-range strategic direction. - Extensive knowledge of key domestic / international customer personnel, their capability requirements and mission needs; high preference for US Army and U Some relocation assistance may be available.
