Description: The Import Compliance Manager reports to the Shared Services Director, Export and Import Compliance Management and has the leadership responsibility and process ownership for establishing and maintaining the corporate import policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards. The manager provides training and assistance to the Companys importing sectors and conducts periodic internal risk assessments in conjunction with Corporate Internal Audit. The manager also conducts inquiries into reports of non-compliance in coordination with the Law Department and importing sectors. Experience in training large, diverse audiences; capability in all areas of import compliance including Customs valuation, tariff classification, country of origin determination, ADD/CVD, free trade agreements, customs audits, C-TPAT program, participating government agency requirements: ITAR, ATF, FDA, FCC, EPA. The manager will participate on an integrated team to implement automated solutions supporting the import process. Serves as the primary point of contact to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on import compliance issues of national significance and establishes and maintains liaison with the CBP national account manager. Leads the company s import management integrated process team to facilitate the sharing of lessons learned, adoption of process improvements, and implementation of best practices throughout the company The manager will interface with senior management and must possess solid analytical, writing and communication skills. BA/BS degree required; masters degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years import experience is required. Customs brokers license preferred. Basic Qualifications: Import experience (10 years), BA/BS degree, demonstrated analytical, writing & training skills Some relocation assistance may be available.
