The US legal system has no respect for privacy, indeed, has no concept
of "data protection", as the EU has. It is not in a position to demand
user data from European servers, as this is protected by European law.
Perhaps a US court could try to get its hands on some data by claiming
that there's a terrorist threat? That excuse is often used here for
breaking the law or limiting the rights of individuals.
