Subject: How to rescue Linux after Windows reinstall Problem: on a PC with Linux and Windows, after Windows reinstall Linux cannot be booted (GRUB menu does not appear). Solution: 1. insert Fedora 8 DVD and reboot 2. choose Rescue Linux system 3. chroot /mnt/sysimage 4. grub-install hd0 After reboot, GRUB menu appears again.
