Harper made his bed with Mulroney instead of with Manning.
Harper sold his political soul to the Devil.
He fiannly realizes the dangerous of sell out.
Lorne Gunter in the Journal puts it well that
the Con Majority may well never happen.
And once the Public Inquiry gets going, will the
Opposition pull the plug.
Manning should have been the man in the background and not Harper.

Evangelicals, just another piece of the power puzzle

''Sold his soul to the devil'', I thought you guys were saying he was too
religious and you were delighted when he created a new party, but now even
that's a' sell out'. That would make the New Democratic Party a sell out
too? Sad, that you have the need to lie so much.
Now Doc what do you really know about the 'background', except what you've
read in the liberal media?. What do we know for sure. We know that Mulroney
may go down as one of Canada's most successful PMs on many fronts, be it
pollution, finance or attempts to avoid Quebec separation which almost
happened under the Liberals.
We know that the Liberals cleared Mulroney of all wrong doing and paid him
$2 million to boot. So why should Harper not take the Liberals at their
word that Mulroney was clean and use the opportunity to learn from
Mulroney's successes? In 1990, they were political enemies and somehow I
doubt that they ever became bosom buddies even after he was cleared by the
Liberals..
I think Lorne Gunter is right but it's wrong..Canada needs a viable two
party system but that won't happen until Canadians get off their dogmatic
partisan treadmill of voting the family party. A party who can do no wrong
and every other is a product of the devil. Sounds like the Muslims versus
the Christians...
I think you're exactly right, they will pull the plug. This was their game
plan all along, we all knew that. They've been slinging mud, hoping some
will stick and this may well be it. The hating of Mulroney as a politician
is completely a product of the media because like you and me, this is where
the public gets all their 'background'. Facts never get in the way of
Liberal logic. And that's the difference between you and me.

As I said, Harper bowed down to Church of Prostitution of Mulroney
instead of the Church of Honour led by Manning.

Excellent reply. (:-) and I think your add-on from Socrates is so relevant
to politics as well.
" evidence, deduction, and logic'' is surely lacking in the thinking of
today's electorate. It's faith and party above all reason.
