What is in this case superficially good for the consumer is bad for business which will lead to fewer jobs and fewer consumers. Be careful what you wish for.

And what are you, the Liberals punted you -- Socrates taught his students that the pursuit of truth can only begin once they start to question and analyze every belief that they ever held dear. If a certain belief passes the tests of evidence, deduction, and logic, it should be kept. If it doesn't, the belief should not only be discarded, but the thinker must also then question why he was led to believe the erroneous "The Doctor" <doctor@doctor.nl2k.ab.ca> wrote in message news:fhg19f$1e5$21@gallifrey.nk.ca... > In article <nyL_i.11$xk4.8@fe195.usenetserver.com>, > Commentator <Commentator@NoSpam.com> wrote: > >Huh wrote: > >> TORONTO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The Canadian dollar lost ground against > >> the U.S. dollar on Wednesday after a speech by a Bank of Canada > >> official in which he issued a slightly stronger warning of the > >> economic impact of the strength of the Canadian currency. High Loonie Poses Economic Risk- > so let's have a low freaken dollar, screw the consumers!! Yep. Even the government likes the sound on gasoline taxes at $1.70 a litre far better than where the are now. Strong loonie sheltered Canada from a whopping 20% decline in currency values in the US dollar, and associated yet to come inflation. $1.70 per litre of gasoline is what we would pay if Hargrove and clowns had it their way. Inflation will go nuts if the loonie devalues. Inflation hurts the poor the most. Putting homes, cars and other things further beyond reach as monthly fixed expenses increase but wages do not follow. The dollar is probably sagging as people cross border shop. A person I know just came back, after expenses with a used M3 BMW, $25.5K after expenses, even after Calgary BMW gouged him $500 for a clearance letter, sure beats the same one with twice the mileage and on the lot for $38K! Canadian consumers and taxpayers are going to hopefully get a thick skin on this as the mindless liberal cry-babies and NDP losers are looking for excuses for their failures.
