Looking to spend winter under the Valley sun? I used to enjoy short winter vacations renting in one of the area's many condo complexes, until I discovered the Valley's best-kept secret ... a cute co-operative condo complex tucked away in South Scottsdale. Now my annual HOA is lower than 2 months of renting, and my arrival & departure is totally flexible without locked-in rental dates. It is a great location - close to both the 101 and 202 loops (providing easy access around the city), 15 minutes from Sky Harbour airport, one block from the Scottsdale greenbelt, close to several golf courses and under 2 miles from the Tempe Town Lake and incredible new Tempe Marketplace shopping mall. The price is only $59,900.00, and the HOA is $211.00. Along with the usual things that HOA's cover (water, ground maintenance, garbage etc) this HOA also covers your inwall plumbing & electrical, air conditioner, furnace and hot water tank. If any of these need repair or replacement, just call the manager and maintenance will take care of it. Lastly, all sales within the complex are cash sales. You cannot use the unit as collateral for anything, including the purchase. What this means is that if you do not the available funds to make the purchase, you must borrow the money using something other than the unit as your collateral.
